I am an getting the following error on my site "Scam Insight: Personal Information Risk".

We have a site that went live on Nov. 2018. When people visit the site (https://www.newworldhealthcbd.com/) they get the "Scam Insight: Personal Information Risk" warning, which is a big deterrent. We are loosing customers from the site. We registered the site to Safeweb.Norton.com 6 weeks ago, requested a scan. It has been more than 6 weeks and the site has not been scanned. We have used other services to scan the site and all rate the site as low-risk. We called Norton 4 times in the past 10 days. But the issue is not resolved. Last week, the agent assure us that the issue would be resolved in 48 hours and it has not been resolved. We called Norton again and received the same treatment. Please help.

Hello RayMoncada

I see you beat me to it. If your website has not been verified by the Safe Web Team, then please post your Meta Tag or html file. Once I see that, I can contact the Safe  Web Team to verify and re-evaluate your website. You are getting that warning because it has not been visited by many people who have Norton installed. The Safe Web Team can White List the site with Scam Insight. That will remove that warning. Once I submit the site, it should be re-evaluated within a day or 2.

I am not a Symantec Employee, but I do have contact with the Safe Web Team.

Have a Good Night and

Thanks.

Re: I am an getting the following error on my site "Scam Insight: Personal Information Risk".

Thank you for your help. Below is the meta tag in the site.

<meta name="norton-safeweb-site-verification" content="si-e9y8ek1byr4emhwzhpr1clsayfp0yfc-f9ey5pcbf9bevjbbq7cezm4qjr9tsdorymu84org22k5tqgp8n6ujlp21ud7v7v13exjjc6zp20tyvb4-9d1t0l6hpe9i" />

I am still having the issue. but it looks like the process is moving in the right direction. The site still shows the warning, but now the check mark is green. see attached PDF.

Thank you in advance.

Hello Ray. One thing I noticed when visiting your site, I pulled up your security certificate. Within the certificate I found a yellow flag by scrolling down to "Key Usage" which states Digital Signature (80). Info is in the screenshot. That key error is discussed here on the MS TechNet site. Something is amuck with your certificate which you may want to look into that may be causing Norton to throw an error since Safe Web will look at site certificates in their reviews.

Hi SoulAsylum, thank you for the observation. We passed your observation to Cloudflare, they provide the SSL certificate for the domain. We noticed other sites marked as Safe have the same warning Key Usage and Basic Constraints but the warning is not triggered. I ran a SSLLabs.com and Digicert.com tests to see if there are any vulnerabilities. Both test reported positive results

SSLLabs.com: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=www.newworldhealthcbd.com...

Digicert.com: https://ssltools.digicert.com/checker/views/checkInstallation.jsp?domain...

Thank you,

Re: I am an getting the following error on my site "Scam Insight: Personal Information Risk".

Hello Ray

Thanks for posting the Meta Tag. That scam warning you received is there because not too many users who have Norton installed has visited the site yet. I haven't contacted the Safe Web Team yet, but I will do so as soon as I finish this post.

Please stay tuned to this thread for a response from the Safe Web Team on Tuesday night after midnight EST. They will verify and re-evaluate your site. They will also White List your site on the Scam Insight. That way if you make any change in your website, it won't count as a new site again and will not get that Scam Insight warning again. Once it gets White Listed, the Scam Insight warning will disappear.

Thanks.

All: The site is now indeed rated green with Safe Web. However please look at the SSL review. The site certificate issue still remains, I got the following screen when opening the site. And the full web report here shows the Domain validated SSL information as still not validated.

Re: I am an getting the following error on my site "Scam Insight: Personal Information Risk".

Hi Ops,

I am still getting the alert and the SSL note in the dashboard show the following message "No information about the site has been validated. Your data is protected, but providing personal and financial information is not recommended." as mentioned by SoulAsylum.

The SSL Certificate is provided by Cloudflare and Comodo. I used the Digicert SSL tool: https://ssltools.digicert.com/checker/views/checkInstallation.jsp?domain...

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The update to the whitelist for the SSL note has to be downloaded into your Norton product. It can take a day or two to get the update to all users.

Keep trying after running LiveUpdate.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Hi Peterweb, I am using Norton Safe Web Google Chrome plugin, does the the plugin updates via the Norton LiveUpdate?

Thank you,

Good point. The new browser extensions do not get updated via LiveUpdate. You now have to wait for the servers that Safe Web access for their whitelists to get updated. This can still take a day or two from when you hear back from ConsolOps.

Re: I am an getting the following error on my site "Scam Insight: Personal Information Risk".

Hello All.

I just checked out the full report.

https://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=https:/www.newworldhealthcbd.com

I didn't see what Soul is showing in his screenshot. His was from around 7 AM this morning. Cops report was just about an hour before Soul's screenshot. Cops  did mention that it will take several hours to get the site white listed and for the warning page to disappear. This all happens when you are using a Norton product.

It was around 7 PM when I looked at the full report. It showed the following.

Domain Validated SSL
No information about the site has been validated. Your data is protected, but providing personal and financial information is not recommended.

I think you need a SSL certificate from DIGi Cert to get rid of the information below the Domain Validated SSL. I will also ask Cops about that. I still got the warning from Scam Insight about not having many many Norton users. One thing that might help to get rid of that warning is to clean out your temp files. I will ask him to stop into this thread again as there are several questions that need to be answered.

Have a Good Night and thanks.

All: No scam insight warning on this end with IE11. Edge is another story, still present there. I no longer have Chrome so cannot test it for results.

Re: I am an getting the following error on my site "Scam Insight: Personal Information Risk".

I just checked with Chrome and still see the message.

Will try again tomorrow to see if the new information has been sent to the servers involved with the Safe Web warnings.

Re: I am an getting the following error on my site "Scam Insight: Personal Information Risk".

Hello

I have left a message with the Safe Web Team, so they should be stopping by some time after midnight on Wednesday night EST. It seems like it takes longer for the warning to get removed if we have to wait for the clear sign to get to the different extensions. I use Chrome also.

Have a Good Night and

Thanks.
