I believe that I have hackers on my computer

I have hackers on my computer. Norton CS has been on my computer remotely 3 or 4 times and found nothing. The last time I contacted support was the first time I noticed a rule for Zoom. When firewall rules are created by the system they have a computer icon if they are modified or added by a person they have a person icon next the the rule. During the chat that was the main concern to the Customer Service rep not HOW did it get there but getting rid of it. They uninstalled Norton and got rid of it. Completely ignoring all the reasons for my concern. I need an experienced tech/engineer to rip my computer apart. Not just someone checking boxes to get a good score on their chat. Norton isn’t free. Whoever is on my computer continues to add rules to my firewall and now rather than blocking them I have made them custom and added the monitor feature. In hopes to get Norton something substantial for them to actually provide someone that can crack down and find how they are getting access! Some of the odd things happening are: Lock Screen is a different screen saver…at first it would go black (they got a little more advanced) now that I have wiped my computer paying Dell more than 100 bucks it back to going black when they are logged in My windows are resized and moved especially my sticky note with the message to get the F off my computer. New things are installed New rules are added to my norton firewall even now being wiped and only used for 2 hrs one day of the week. The Norton history show different IP address and suspicion network alerts. Activity on Norton when my computer isn’t on or connected to the internet and blocked from my router. It’s something embedded on my computer because even after we did F12 and downloaded windows from a USB rule after rule kept popping up in my firewall. When I first saw the rules there were maybe 15 when I started blocking them more popped up. I just need someone with experience with malware and Trojans!!! Please help!

Re: I believe that I have hackers on my computer

I would contact Norton Support again and ask for the Virus Protection Promise. Before you do this, be sure you have Automatic Renewal enabled for your current 360 subscription.

See this Norton support article.   https://support.norton.com/sp/en/ca/home/current/solutions/v62458994

Re: I believe that I have hackers on my computer

It is normal for Norton to create new firewall rules.  In fact, it is what the smart firewall is designed to do.  Many things run in the background on Windows and Norton will create rules accordingly.  Please be specific about what rules you are seeing that you find concerning.  Also, after you wipe and reinstall Windows, lots of things will be different as many settings revert to their defaults.
