We need you to clarify a few things for us, so we can better-understand your Issue:
01. What WIndows O.S. and S.P. [Service Pack] are you using, e.g. Windows X.P., Service Pack 03?
02. What Norton Product and Version are you using, e.g. Norton 360, Version 03?
03. When you Run Norton LiveUpdate, do you get any Error Messages? If so, what is the Error Number and Error Message?
i have widows vista
i have norton 360
and when i run live update it says operation failed
I think, you are using the Norton 360 Version 2.0/2.5 as this "Operation Failed" error was found in that version only. You can confirm this by checking in Help & Support > About Norton 360. I would suggest you to update your Norton 360 2.0 to latest version - Norton 360 3.0. If you have a current subscription to Norton 360, you can update to the latest version by downloading the update. When you install the update, it will remove your previous Norton 360 product and apply the subscription information to Norton 360 v3. You can continue using the new version by just renewing the subscription when the current subscription expires. You can use the same product key of Norton 360 2.0 for activation of Norton 360 3.0. Refer to this Symantec Support Article. Please proceed with updating your Norton 360 to latest version and let us know how it goes.
