I keep getting logged out by Norton security "due to inactivity."

Every time I log in to Norton website and click on a link to check my dashboard, I immediately get the circle saying "signing off" and then I get the sign-in screen with a message saying

Your security is important to us. You've been logged out due to inactivity or an expired session. Please sign in below.

Problem is, there has been NO inactivity. I am getting so tired of this. I tried resetting my browser, as recommended by another user, but that does nothing. I am still getting logged off. I can do nothing on my account.

Are there any ad blocker extensions or VPN active on the browser? If so disable them and retry. Have you tried a secondary browser to see if there is a setting causing this on the main browser you were using?

I tried different browsers. Turned off VPN. Turned off ad blocker. Reset browser settings to be sure I got everything. Nothing has worked. I still get kicked off.

Curious, what browser extensions?

I had an ad blocker, a shopping coupon extension (Rakuten), Pinterest, Nielsen Netsight, and Norton's browser extensions. All are turned off.

Date and time are properly set on your computer?
Maybe, something is removing browser cookies?
Norton Tracking Cookie Scan = Ignore?

Is this the "Norton website" -> https://my.norton.com/extspa/dashboard/Home

Re: I keep getting logged out by Norton security "due to inactivity."

All: One thing that may be an issue or part of it is, is the OP logged into the computer under an account with Admin credentials? If so, create a fresh TEST account on Windows with admin privileges, reboot and test account login under that profile. If that succeeds the issue is with the original Windows admin account.

My answer is based on  https://community.norton.com/en/comment/8543522#comment-8543522

Turning "Dragon Web Extension for Chrome" off worked for me.

- Go to the three dots in the top right corner

- Select "Extensions"

- Select "manage extensions

- Turn off "Dragon Web Extension / Dragon Web Extension for Chrome

I can confirm that as per AIFHB's post the problem appears to be with the Dragon Dictation web extension.  I was able to login on a Windows 10 PC using Google Chrome.  However, I could login on a different PC also running Windows 10 and Google Chrome. The difference between the two machines is one had Dragon Dictation on and the other did not.

In Google Chrome, go to the three dots for the pull down menu, select settings - Extensions - manage extensions and switch off your Dragon extension whichever version you are running.  After switching it off, go back to your Norton tab and try to login. At this point I was able to log straight in and access My account fully.

After I logged out I was going to switch the extension back on. However, I am using Dragon voice dictation to type this now, with the extension still switched off. So I won't even bother turning it back on, unless it is specifically required in the future.
