I really hate the fact that I can not just send in an event log to Norton Support

Hello all,

I really hate the fact that I can not just type in more than 255 characters when I go to norton Support and wait an annoyingly

ridicuously long time just to get some support person to look at the result of my Event log showing a Norton memory fault error

Its outrageous!

I may start re-thinking continuing with Norton Security. You know Norton you are not the only effective Internet security options out there and lately the news is your software slows down Windows 7 pcs and laptops substantially

I have to weight that with the lousy support options provided!!!!

Sorry to hear about your difficulties .... I know some other sites with restrictions like that and it is annoying.

This Forum Feedback is for problems with the Forum system here on line and not for product related or Norton communication problems so I'd suggest a switch to the matching forum if you would tell us which Norton product you are using ....

Totally agree.

I just wanted to submit a bug report, and then get feedback from competent technical staff, and then a resolution.

Instead, I've waited over an hour for 1st line text support, who can't lodge a bug report, and direct me to this forum.

If Norton had a simple incident report submission process, we wouldn't be on this forum, so the posted topic is about the forum.

Norton, what are the consequences of increasing the support costs to your customers, an inordinate amount of time and effort,

just to ask a couple of simple product known issue questions ?

Yes, I can verify that the latest norton 360 update has substantially slowed down IE on my Windows 7 PC (fast i7 quad core),

to the point where scrolling, typing, selecting drop down menus, takes several repeated attempts.
It feels as if it is now capturing keystrokes and click, and sending them elsewhere, like malware would.

I can also verify that norton has not yet provided me with a resolution on this problem,

that is severe enough to warrant consideration of switching to other software.

An issue with IE running slow was discussed in another thread for Norton Internet Security. The issue seemed to be with the installation of Flash.

See this post that helped the original poster.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
