I wish to reinstall NIS on the Windows XP computer I just removed it from.

I am suffering through the latest conflict with NIS and an older windows XP machine . I removed NIS then ran the norton removal tool. I went to account management to try to reinstall it but it says "You do not have any installs remaining." You can protect more devices by purchasing more installs." It also still lists my XP machine as one of those installs. All I want to do is reinstall it annd do manual updates to avoid the latest patch untill a fix comes out. Any Ideas?

On the product details page, click the dustbin symbol to remove the licence for you XP device. You will then be able to download to software to your device.

Where do I find the "product details page"? The Products page in Norton Account does not list the individual licenses. It just shows 3 licenses, none available, and there is no dustbin.

Note - I am not the OP. I am trying to release a license that was used on a computer that I threw out long ago, because I am now getting a new computer.

Thanks.

https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/contact

You can go through Support to resolve this very easily or you can go to your Norton Management account

https://manage.norton.com/   to remove the threw out computer | release the license | add new device

https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/norton-management/current/info   then check into your Norton Account that all is as it should be  https://www.mynortonaccount.com/amsweb/default.do

Thanks. Norton Management was very quick and easy. I removed the unused license.

@ benjamin,

Not sure it is my system or not, but the links you provided (except Norton Account) do not work for me in IE 10 or FF31????

@bobs,

Glad you got it sorted - Norton Mangement certainly beats waiting in line to talk to Chat!

Re: I wish to reinstall NIS on the Windows XP computer I just removed it from.

Update . Apperently somewhere along the line my abuility to install on 3 computors was lost and It only showed 1 liscence available although I had it downloaded it on 3 and 3 liscences showing in my account. I was told by support because i was using update to the latest version that i was eligible to only install on 1 computor as my original product purchased about 10 years ago allowed.I thought this strange as it had allowed me to install it on 3 in the past and that was part of my reason for upgrading.They made it right when I explained I thought this was misleading but they canceled my auto upgrade subscription while giving me a new 3 comp product key. I will set up the auto renew again when the current one runs out. I won't say I am happy with the support but am satisfied with the result.
