ID Safe Stopped in IE11 Can't 'Get Started'

Two days ago, one pc (an old vista machine) reported that my Norton subscription had 'expired' (not correct).  After an hour of rebooting and signing into my account, which was reporting info correctly, the problem went away.  The next day (yesterday), my Win 8.1 PC running IE11, will not log into Identity Safe.  When I try, it brings me to a 'Get Started' screen, that then asks me to log into my Norton Acct.  When I do, that screen goes away and right back to the Get Started screen. Yesterday, the same thing began happening, that is no ID safe log in on my Win 10 PC if I use IE11.  If I use the Edge Browser, then ID safe works normally.  Today, the Win 10 PC is working normally, with both the Edge Browser and with IE11, but the Win 8.1 machine is still not allowing me to enable the ID safe in the IE 11 browser.  The old Vista machine is, and has been, with respect to ID safe, working correctly.

So, WHAT'S UP with ID SAFE when Running IE11?

Hello. On the Win 8.1 machine is IE11 the default browser and are you logging in under an admin account? Log into your account from the Norton dashboard under "My Norton" vice thru ID Safe. See if you have the same issue in that manner.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, IE11 is the default browser....Only browser on the Win 8 PC. It is also set as the default on the win 10 pc. I can log into my Norton acct from the dashboard and ID Safe is ON. I toggled it OFF and ON, but no improvement. The inability to open the vault on the Win 8 pc and the Win 10 pc occurred at the same time. A day later, the win 10 pc was back to normal and IE11 Vault is okay again. I did nothing to affect that repair except wait. Not so with the Win 8 pc. Live Updates work fine, everything else but IDSafe is okay. From the Get Started screen, after clicking the Get Started box, says 'redirecting', goes to a log in screen with my email address filled in, password field blank. I enter password, screen clears, and a few secs later, back the the Get Started screen. I know Norton has been threatening Chrome users that they must update extensions or their Norton will stop. Wondering if they have messed up IE11 in that process. I do not use Chrome and it has never been on either of these PC's.

Does the Norton toolbar show in IE11 on the Win 8 machine? If not the add-ons aren't enabled.

Re: ID Safe Stopped in IE11 Can't 'Get Started'

Hi again...Yes, it does show the toolbar as it has been all along. Just a few mins ago I completed the monthly Ms updates that I believe were released yesterday, as usual. Whatever happened during that process has apparently returned the ID Safe to normal function on the Win 8 pc. Just prior to the updates, I ran a full scan and then a Power Eraser scan, with no errors found on either, with the note on the pE that I have an old Java version on the PC, but the Java site scan says otherwise nor was anything but the latest version shown in the programs listing either, so I took no action on that issue. Probably not related, but just to note it. So, now to see if it is fixed on the Win 10 machine...And, It Is! Magic..... All by itself...
