Identity protection alert

I have Norton 360 and Norton Identity Protection.

First: Received an email from "Norton™ Identity Protection <noreply@identityprotection.norton.com>" saying "review your identity record alert from Norton Identity Protection", but I don't have ID protection set up.

Second: if I log in to my account and try to set up ID protection, it says "The more info you provide..." -- but then it insists that I provide all the info, including SSN, DOB, etc., before it will complete the set up.  I won't provide that info.

Why won't it let me enter partial info, and how do I see what that alert is for?

Third: from my Norton 360 screen, the Identity selection says Set Up Now. If I go there, it brings up the Add Extensions screen.  Apparently Identity protection in Norton 360 is a different product than Norton Identity Protection?

I don't see Norton Identity Protection as a Forum option for this post, so I used this forum.

Re: Identity protection alert

Hello Kevin Manuele

Do you have LifeLock? That is a separate program which you might have gotten for free if you just renewed your N360 thru Norton. I D Protection is NOT I D Safe or Vault which might come with your Security Program.
