Identity safe is driving me nuts!

Having used it for years, this latest version of Identity Safe is useless.   I have already found four log ins it messes with.   With Tomtom I have to look up my password then close the vault before it will log me in.  M&S gets the shakes and won't let me fill in boxes and if I don't remember to close the vault quickly it crashes and I have to go through the rigmarole of changing my password.  Barclays online banking logs me out if I try to download a statement as a PDF and Tesco checkout insists that my mobile number is my email address and changes it!   For all of these websites, I have to look up my username and password in Identity Safe and then close the vault in order to make them work.   These are only the first four.  No doubt I shall come across others as time goes on.

Re: Identity safe is driving me nuts!

I am having the same types of problems.  I go to sites that normally works, and I get a banner line that says choose a login, but there are no choices, sometimes it says choose a login with choices, but before I have a change to do anything the banner line goes away.  Other times I am trying to fill things out on sites and the banner line asking if I want Norton to fill things for me comes and goes and comes and goes, so that I can neither answer the question or fill in the fields myself.  I am running Windows 7 home premium 64-bit and running firefox 25 and now 26 and the latest and greatest NIS.  I did not have these problems with NIS2013 or its predecessors.

Re: Identity safe is driving me nuts!

The same thing is happeing to me, on GOG. (I am on the latest Norton 360) It will not aloow me to log on so I have to close the vault then log in again to gog with the vault closed then I can log in. IT has nothing to do with the OS or anything else you may wish to blame on the computer but all to do with this crap. I will be shifting to something else when the time comes and will not be renewing my subscription. If the site is unsafe then it should be able to say so. There is also the case of not being in control of who should or should not be allowed to be automatically be put in the vault. in the old version a message used to appear asking if I wanted to include this site in the vault whenever I visited a new site with log in instructions.

Re: Identity safe is driving me nuts!

I have Norton Inernet Secuity latest version (so it tells me when I checked to see if there was a later version) and I am running on Windows 7 Home Premium.   I have just done an experiment as I have two hard discs for this computer the other one running XP.   Have just opened the vault on the XP hard disc and none of the problems I have with the other one occurred.  I checked into M&S, Barclays, Tesco and Tomtom - no problem.  I was then prompted to check if there was a later version of Norton which there was, so, like a fool, I downloaded and installed it, never thinking that it would also be a later version of Identity Safe.  Of course it was, and now I have all the old problems back again on the XP hard disc!  It is definitely this latest version of Identity Safe which is causing all the problems.   I hate the way I can't organize my logins into separate folders and the latest problem was it would not even autofill when I wanted to log in to my Norton Account, although it is set to autofill.  However, after restarting the computer it condescended to do so!

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Identity safe is driving me nuts!

I have also noticed that sometimes when it does give me a list of possible logins, there are extra logins in the list, but when I try to edit the logins, I do not see the extra ones.
