Toolbar Vault login list flickers when scrolling in IE

In the latest 22.10 update, I have found that the drop down list for Norton Identity Safe in the IE toolbar has a "flickering" problem when scrolling through the list of logins I have saved.  Whenever I scroll down my list it "flickers" and stops when I stop scrolling.  It seems to be related to the lack of smooth animation throughout the Norton Security 22.10 UI as the main dashboard UI icons when hovered on don't have the smooth hover or not hovered transition and instead has a simple hover or not hovered state.

So interesting that someone else has seen this so it is not just me.  The Norton rep who called back today insisted that they have NEVER had this issue before and imperiously told me that I should permit him to do another remote access, blah blah blah.  I reminded him that at the beginning of my conversation with him that that was not an option nor was remove and reinstall but he said he would escalate it to a senior tech level and then told me I would have to follow up with chat contact when I had time.

I would like to say again that there was no ID on the phone that indicated this was indeed a Norton service call; just an 800 number on the caller ID, though he did mention my case number; but regardless I told him that the issue was not with my computer and I had no scrolling issues prior to the most recent Live Update patch; after the removal and reinstall the list was ok but once I did Live Update and there was a patch it is back to flickering as described in the above post.

I do not know how to capture video of this issue but welcome the assistance to show it to you.

Are you going to enable log uploads for this thread? I think I see what the others are posting, but any video posted will have all our logins shown.

I too need a little help with suggestions for recording the video.

Sorry if my ranting made you believe that I need customer support.  I am just opinionated that way sometimes.  Regardless I am replying because I have the same issue with the GUI as others have mentioned. And customer support's response to this point has not been helpful so I am seeking information here.

I can get video of it no problem but I don't want my logins to be broadcast over the internet.

I think I found a way to upload without giving away my logins, I have created Tags for my logins, well since that list is long enough to scroll I can do it fast enough so my logins wont show up next to the tags, I can just record that since it also does the flickering.

I don’t use Identity Safe but I do notice the trembling behavior when I scroll through any drop down menu in LiveUpdate, Identity, Intrustion Prevention pages and so on.
The screenshot below of course does not show the cursor trembling but the drop down menu example I am referring to:.Thanks.

Having the same issue as well. Trying to find a way to capture video. Maybe with the X-box game dvr feature on W10.

Let me know if you get the X-Box feature to work. I tried it and it did not display the ID Safe pop outs. Just looked like a blank IE screen with my cursor moving around.

I understand your concern. That is why I asked Tony to activate the Log Files option for this thread. If you look below the Reply box, you will see the option there. Using that to upload the files only allows you and the forum admins/employees to have any access to the files.  If you are going to use this function, just remember to Zip any file you want to send. 

To show you how it works, if you look at my last post to Tony, I did upload a video, but you should not see any sign of it when you are looking at the post. Where as I can see that a log file has been added.

I understand if you do not want anyone to be able to see your logins, but remember it may show the web site, but not any passwords.

I should know better by now.   

I only see this using IE. Chrome is good, FF extension is smooth scrolling, and I do not have Edge extension. The logins also scroll smoothly when using ID Safe from the NSBU interface.

I saw something about flickering being corrected in today's Windows Updates. I don't know if it's the same flickering or not. Is it possible that today's Windows Update has fixed this flickering?

Hi floplot. I can confirm that Microsoft patch Tuesday has NOT corrected the flickering issue. Just got the updates installed on my laptop this morning. The issue still persists. IE11, I unfortunately do not have Chrome or Firefox installed.

Also seeing this flashing behavior after update to NIS 22.10.  ID Safe logins still work, so "only" a visual annoyance for me.  Other than that, the update appears to be OK.

Running Win 8.1 64-bit w/IE11.

No, I'm not thinking of the IE crashes. That has been fixed with Tuesday's Windows Updates. The flickering fix that I think I saw might have been just for Win 7 maybe. You guys have Win  8.1 and 10 so that might make a difference.

Everyone. Installed NSBU 22.10.0.85 validated the IDS list flickering issue still exists. Windows 10 x64 Creators Update.

A patch (Norton 22.10.1.10) has been released via LiveUpdate to fix this issue. Run LiveUpdate until all the updates are installed and then check if this patch resolves this issue.

Have completed the most recent Live Update and applied the Patch; the flickering issue with the Log-ins list is now fixed for Windows 7 and IE...thanks to those that worked on correcting this UI issue.

I have updated to 22.10.1.0 and have found that it has NOT fixed the flickering issue with the ID Safe log ins list.  The flickering is still happening on the Tags list, as I have a number of tags created that I can scroll through.  Even worse is that on the Log-Ins list, I cant use the scroll bar on the right of the list, I can click on the bar and drag but nothing happens but on the Tags list, the scroll bar works normal with the mouse.  The whole ID safe toolbar list is not very friendly to my Microsoft Wireless Mouse 2000 as I have to make 2 or 3 complete scrolls on the wheel to make the list scroll down at all.
