Identity Safe Logon Window Stays Open

Hi,

Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) + IE11 v11.0.10240.16384 + Norton Internet Security 22.5.2.15

I open IE. The Norton Identity Safe logon window appears.

I fill in my details, I click open, the vault opens, the logon window remains! See attached screen clip image.

Also, the show password hint link doesn't function correctly. Just toggles itself, but shows no hint text.

Any ideas?

Hi Glyn,

No answer at the moment, but I am curious about the Orange Exclamation point over your ID Safe Settings Icon.  Is there something flagged somehow on the any of the Setting Tabs?

Perhaps if you could through the different Setting Tabs seeing if anything will jump out at you?

I think orange means default browser is not configured (recognized)

Are you able to reproduce this issue?

Is it happening after you upgraded to Windows 10?

What happens when you open other browsers like Firefox and Google Chrome? Does the window still come up?

Can't see anything wrong in any of the Settings.

This problem affects both my PC and laptop. Both Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) RTM.

I did then I restarted the computer it started to work. I did see ! mark before i logged in not sure what that was about

Hi,

To recap. Yes, this started happening after I upgraded to the RTM of Windows 10 Pro (64 bit). Pre RTM I had been using the beta version of NIS. Once I moved to Windows 10 RTM I started using the retail version of NIS.

Before the upgrade I uninstalled NIS (leaving settings behind) and then reinstalled NIS after the upgrade had completed and the machines rebooted.

The dysfunctional behaviour occurs on both my laptop and PC.

The same problem exists across browsers. IE11 (11.0.10240.16384), Firefox (39.0) and Chrome (44.0.2403.125 m).

I am experiencing the exact same issue that the user at the top of this message string is reporting. My Norton products are running the latest release (I checked using the Norton upgrade app). Click Vault toolbar icon in Internet Explorer to open the vault, the popup window appears that says "Get Started" - click on the 'Sign in' button there and the Window appears that that prompts for logon (logon - Get Started dialog) - I enter Identity Safe logon credentials, then Security Code, then that window goes away but the original window ("Get Started") stays there and the Vault does not open.

The screen shot is exactly like the one the original poster has in his message. If I click on the gear the Settings tab says Internet Explorer - Everything OK.

If I go to identitysafe.norton.com - I can sign in there, but that doesn't help me much.

I have a similar problem since upgrading to Windows 10 on one laptop when opening Identity safe in IE after entering the password the "box" freezes and will not open the safe or do anything else.  On another Laptop I have there which I have also upgraded to Windows 10 it works fine!!!
