Identity safe not syncing

I've noticed recently that the number of Logins in Norton ID Safe on my IPad are 98 but when I open the vault on my Windows 7 PC there are only 92 Logins. I've Googled the issue and tried all the remedies I can find but none have worked.

I've logged out of my Norton account on my PC and IPad and then logged back in again to no avail.

I've checked that the Go To Cloud option isn't available in the vault settings on the PC so this confirms it is indeed a Cloud Vault.

I've logged into my Norton account in a web browser and Norton Identity Safe which shows 98 Logins. I've used the drop down menu and hit Sync Vault.It says the vault has synced but the vault on my PC still only shows 92 Logins.

I know this was an issue last year. Is there a fix?

Is it possible that you had a local vault in the past? If so, it is still possible that you have both an local and a cloud vault available on the PC. I still have both on my laptop.

If you are opening the vault in your browser, that will only work with a cloud vault. But if you open the vault from the Norton Security product, you could still be getting logged into a local vault.

When you log in to the vault with your Norton Security product, do you see  an option to Open Cloud Vault as in the image below? If so, it would indicate that you still have a local vault. If you click on the Open Cloud Vault and sign into the cloud vault, you should see the same number of logins as you see when you log in from your iPad, of if you sign in from a browser extension.

I haven't used my PC since the response. However, I do not get an option to log into a Cloud Vault.

Are you opening the vault on the PC from a browser, or your Norton Security product?

From Norton Security and the Norton Toolbar in my browser. I did a scan and repair from the Norton support page as well. Once I had rebooted my PC the Identity Safe button in Norton Security and on the Norton Toolbar stopped working.

Is your browser IE? If so, it could still be a local vault you have on the PC.

To help check this, open Norton Security and click on your email address at the top right. Restart your computer. Then open your browser and try to sign into your ID Safe vault. If you are NOT asked for your Norton Account email address, you have a local vault and that would be why your two devices are not syncing.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

OK so it seems I have a local vault and a Cloud Vault. I can not find a way to delete the local vault so that when I sign into Identity Safe I get the passwords from my cloud vault, the only thing that seems to work is to ignore the local vault and open my Norton Account through the browser.
