Identity Safe & Security Toolbar has crashed

I need help please!

My computer prompted me to restart it due to updates with Norton so I did.

Once I did, I went back to Google Chrome (my browser), which then wouldn't load any internet content. I would then simultaneously receive notification balloons on the side of my window saying that 1) Norton Identity Safe has crashed, 2) Norton Security has crashed, and 3) Adblock Plus has crashed (not under Norton, I know, but just mentioning). It was asking me to click the balloon to reload the extension, but when I do, it wouldn't really do anything. I then tried to type "chrome://extension" on the search bar but it wouldn't do anything either. Tried clicking my saved websites on my toolbar and it still wouldn't do anything. The search bar shows a grey chrome icon rather than the usual coloured one. Tried to restart my computer twice, to no avail. Everytime I restart my chrome browser, the notification balloons will appear, but when I do click it to reload the extension, it won't take me to the plugins or extensions page.

Any advice? Cheers.

Re: Identity Safe & Security Toolbar has crashed

Try restarting a couple more times to make sure all updates for Norton and Windows have been fully completed.

I am trying to find a similar thread, but I seem to remember the solution was to reinstall Chrome.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Thanks peterweb.

I have read other threads dealing with the same issue and what I did was basically to uninstall and reinstall chrome. Now it's working. Unfortunately the option of saving my bookmarks wasn't possible, but that's the least of my worries.
