Identity Safe won't register a website

I'm using identity safe with Comcast's NSS.  Overall, it works just great.  This is a small but annoying issue:  For reasons unknown to me, I can't get it to register my username and password at hollandamerica.com when I'm using IE10.  It will register with Firefox.  I've tried deleting the vault login and re-registering but to no avail.  I suppose it is something site specific and browser specific to IE10.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Hi,
Try using the ignore this page feature so that you can input the correct data. Then tell it to safe the entered data.

Just a thought

@dickevans   Thanks for responding.

I tried ignore this page, entered user name and password, and the save this password line in ie10 norton toolbar did not pop up.  That seems to be the problem.

By contrast when I've deleted the HollandAmerica entry in the vault, go to Firefox, go hollandamerica.com, click on login, enter user name and password, then the toolbar says it is saving it.

That's the behavior I would expect to see going to hollandamerica.com with ie10.  And I get that expected behavior with all other websites with IE10, so that's the mystery to me.

Any other things I should try?

Just a guess here. Try flushing the queue in IE10. You might also want to look through the cookies it's saving and delete any that are connected with the problem site.

@dickevans Tried flushing all ie10 cookies, cache etc.  No effect, unfortunately.  Also tried putting ie10 into compatibility view thinking there might be something peculiar to the HAL website.  Still no effect.  Since it is only a problem with that website I have to assume that there is something Norton needs to see that it is not when I go to that url.

Re: Identity Safe won't register a website

Hi surfer100,

Sorry to hear of your situation - but it seems you are slowly finding more and more of the differences between Norton Securtiy Suite and the retuil Norton products.  I also run Norton Internet Security v 20.3.1.22 and within the Norton Toolbar > Vault Open > dropdown,  there is an option of  "Report Issue"  - which is not available with NSS.

The purpose of this option is for exactty what you are encountering.  You can navigate to the troublesome URL, select the Report Issue option and fill out the form.  Norton thenknows that thre is some problem and sometimes they can work it out - I have seen some financial sites with mulitple sign-ins be corrected using this form.

The form is located at this URL and if you can get to it, I do not know if it would be handled as it is NSS - but may be worth a try.

If you do submit it - please let us know if you get a response.

Re: Identity Safe won't register a website

I found a work around at the HAL website.  Just click login on the popup box without filling in any text.  That forces you to a login full web page.  Norton identity safe WILL save username and text at this web page.  So, I just have the extra click.

@yank.  I reported the above at your recommended url. Perhaps they will ultimately figure out why the popup login box won't accept the username and password.  But at least it is usable to me now with the extra click to get to the login web page.
