IE10 - IE11 NTB issues

The old threads I made are locked due to age I guess.

With IE10 - 11 the toolbar color doesn't match IE's color. Now with recent updates to NTB there's an added white gap below the toolbar.

Another separate issue is sometimes when I open IE the toolbar is blank and then slowly appears. It can also happen when I surf from one page to another.

Before anyone replies please only post helpful responses. I don't care if you're happy with things the way they're.

Hi, SGFC. I'm not seeing this. I assume you ran Live Update, until no more were found ?

Have you locked the toolbars in the Menu View/Toolbars option ?

Also, are your display drivers up to date ?

Yes LiveUpdate has been ran until no updates found.

Yes the toolbars are locked. But even unlocked I still see the white gap. I even disabled Menu and Favorites bar and the white gap was still there.

Yes the display drivers and software are up to date.

By the way my screen is 1920x1080 and I had IE maximized.

Ok. With only the Menu bar and the Norton Toolbar checked, there is a slight white gap between the Toolbar and the web page, but it's miniscule.

Yeah and there is this issue also https://community.norton.com/en/forums/norton-toolbar-separator-issue-ie-and-firefox The issues just keep piling up. I realize some people don't care as long as it works. But it should be a simple fix.

Re: IE10 - IE11 NTB issues

Once again, I would suggest you unlock the toolbars, move the NTB to the same line as the Menu Bar and get rid of the share (from other thread) and all looks fine to me!  Don't forget to relock the Toolbars.

<EDIT>  I just noticed something - if you look at my image above there is a line running the full length of the bottom of the Toolbar, while in SGFC's images it only appears to be a color change (sort of like to a lightblue/gray)

I did what you said and the white line is still there. It is accompanied by a thin black line that way.

I've worked with software before where the author let stuff slide. Eventually the program begins to look ugly or features stop working because they're disabled to make things look okay. Disabling things to make it look okay isn't really a solution either. I am sure Symantec could fix both issues quite easily in one of their many updates.

This only affects NTB for IE if you look at Firefox everything is fine except the separator.

Re: IE10 - IE11 NTB issues

Just curious, since you seem concerned about real estate at the top of your page, have you tired to us the search from Address Bar in Google?

I understand you may not desire to do this, just trying to suggest saving some space and perhaps changing the look without looking ugly?

I usually search from https://www.google.ca

It's not a huge concern by far. I just spent a month on Firefox without NTB. But I wish Symantec would address it.
