Are you running Windows Dashlane web app or desktop app?

FWIW ~ I do not run Dashlane
Note: maybe, I'm not understanding your opening post -> "there are several .csv file versions"
I imagine you want to use current/latest Date modified -> Dashlane secure archive -> .csv file

~ my read of Import Passwords page says Unsecured archive (readable) in CSV format
~ my read of Import Passwords -> Learn More -> Import logins from Dashlane says Unsecured archive (readable) in CSV format

Import logins from Dashlane ›

  1. On the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Norton Password Manager icon.

  2. Sign in to your vault.

  3. On the bottom-right, click
  4. Click Import.

  5. In the Import Passwords window, under Source, select Dashlane.

  6. Open the Dashlane application.

  7. Click on File, then click Export, and select Unsecured archive (readable) in CSV format.

The logins are exported from Dashlane as a CSV file.

  8. Click Select File and navigate to the CSV file which was exported from Dashlane You can also drag and drop files into the box

You can also drag and drop files into the box.

  9. In the Import your Data window, select the logins you want to protect in your vault, and click Import.

  10. Click Finish.

Is Norton not reading these posts and not bothered? I have been using Norton for over 10 years and how come I can't have an answer from Norton? Time to leave Norton if they are not bothered?

How to export or back up your Dashlane account

How to export using the web app

  1. Launch the Dashlane web app.
  2. Go to My Account in the bottom left corner of the page and select Export Data.
  3. If required, enter your Master Password and click Unlock to access your secure data.

Re: Importing data from Dashlane to Norton Vault

When I go for export from Dashlane, there are no choices.  In other words, only option is "compressed (Zipped) folder"  showing csv files. These csv files wont work in Norton because norton is expecting an .exe file and .json file....what am i missing?

Sorry, I do not run Dashlane.  My posted information regarding Dashlane was from Google.
R U running Dashlane desktop app or web app.
Are you reporting that Norton documentation is wrong.
Are you reporting Dashlane documentation is wrong.

Let me ponder "only option is "compressed (Zipped) folder"  showing csv files" & "norton is expecting an .exe file and .json file"

So, Norton Import does not want .csv file?

Let me Google "How to export from Dashlane"...again.

Please what Dashlane program/product/app are you running.
Google search offered Dashlane information for Dashlane desktop app or web app.

Re: Importing data from Dashlane to Norton Vault

as my test:
Imported norton.csv (test file) into Dashlane browser extension.
Exported dashlane-credential-export.zip

Extracted archive -> credentials.csv has my norton credentials (test file)

I'll try Import to Norton Password Manager extension.

Upload is okay.
Import is not okay.

@shmiusa
Import credentials.csv does not work, for me.

Based upon my test with Dashlane browser extension and after some head scratching.
Norton documentation wants Dashlane Export from Dashlane desktop app.

Maybe, Dashlane calls Dashlane browser extension -> web app

Do you run Dashlane desktop app or web app?
I'll imagine you run Dashlane web app.

~ as per Google

IMPORTANT: This information applies to Dashlane's desktop apps, which are no longer available.

https://support.dashlane.com/hc/en-us/articles/202637722-How-to-install-Dashlane-s-desktop-app-on-Windows

So, bottom line.  I tested Dashlane web app
https://support.dashlane.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010077819

and Norton documentation [here] is for Dashlane desktop app.

@shmiusa
I'm not Norton.  I run Norton 360.
fwiw ~ as Norton 360 user.  I'm sorry.
fwiw ~ If you're happy with Dashlane web app.  Stay with Dashlane.

Re: Importing data from Dashlane to Norton Vault

Thank you for taking so much interest on behalf of Norton and proved my point that it's not working.....I have already tried everything you tried.....I guess Norton is struggling how to resolve this as so many are still buying and running it for something else.....I liked your comments Staty with Dashlane....it should read Replace Norton.....what a waste of time, Norton

Re: Importing data from Dashlane to Norton Vault

Hi shmiusa,
Sorry, took me awhile to understand what you knew.  I didn't know if you ran Dashlane desktop app &or web app.
I'd never read about or looked at Dashlane before reading your opening post.   I thought (maybe) you were running Dashlane desktop app.  I read Dashlane desktop app was discontinued.  I was thinking that (discontinued desktop app) was why you were trying Import to Norton.   When I had time, yesterday.  I tried Dashlane web app.  Then I realized what you already knew.  That's when I better understood that Norton documentation was for Dashlane desktop app.  Sorry, took me awhile to connect the dots, yesterday.
For a time, yesterday.  I was imagining Dashlane web app was browser integration for Dashlane desktop app.
When I realized Dashlane web app was stand-alone browser extension.  Then the dots connected.

Norton Password Manager stand-alone browser extension (web app) is free with/without Norton subscription product.

I'm not saying replace Norton Security/360.
I'm saying stay with Dashlane web app if you're thinking of running Norton Password Manager web app.
I transitioned away from Norton's password manager tool when it was still Norton Identity Safe.
My password manager preference is off-line tool.  I have Norton Password Manager setup for testing.

Regards w Respect
