inappopriate pictures blocking from search

Hello,

I have installed Norton 360 deluxe with parental control.

I started to test Parental control for my child after setting it up.

When I type to search for porn sites, browser is displaying a lot of results and not hiding inappropriate pictures at all. When I try to click on picture, site is blocked. When I switch to videos, it also displays a lot of sexual character pictures but blocking going to site when I click on it.

Why Norton is not hiding pictures, pictogrammes from search. My old antivirus with parental control was successfully dealing with it?

Hi lelikrambov,

Thanks for reaching Norton Family forums.

Upon analyzing the backend data, we have seen that Wave browser was used in the child's machine which is an unsupported browser.
Could you please ensure that the child is using one of the Norton Family supported browsers(Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox)?
Also, please make sure that the Norton Family browser extensions are enabled in the supported browsers.
Norton Family will enforce safe search on the respective search engines so that the search engine will filter the content.

thanks for your reply.

Yes, we had Wave browser was installed. I deleted it now.

I tested it on Chrome and when trying to search from Google Chrome search bar, it doesn't display relevant results.

But I tried to use Yandex.ru to search and immediately seen a lot of unblocked pictures. I tried to search porn video and search suggests you a massive choice. You can see naked women (small pictures). When you click on video, it redirects you to main site and this video is hidden but all other relevant videos to the right are shown as pictures.

Why Norton is not filtering it and not hiding these small pictures?

Extension is installed.
