increased hard faultsTask Manager as Norton Security scans.

Hello, everyone! Hoping to discover if watching the graphs on Task Manager, when they show peaks of activity (Hard breaks, tight group during Norton Security virus scan) does this signify a possible problem, or are hard breaks (ahem!) just the way the code crumbles? Thanks mucho, but mainly, thanks for your helpful support!

It means hard disk activity. It does not indicate hard disk failures.

Hello

The disks work hard during virus scans in order to get them completed more rapidly.

Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.17.3.50 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.

@Wally Zin,

Just to clarify, are you still facing/suffering from high disk activity now?

Here's another tip re full system scan: do that in Safe Mode for better scan results, in your spare time.

Thx :)
