Install Norton Identity Safe

I've just purchased a Lenovo Ideapad. It's come with windows 10 (yuk) preloaded. How do I get my password vault to load like it used to on windows 8.1? Better still can I load windows 8.1 as a viable OS?

Re: Install Norton Identity Safe

hello, Sorry, but I do not understand your message. You do not need to change operating systems to use Norton Identity Safe. Only install your Norton (Norton Security?) product on your new Windows 10 computer. This will give you access to your Norton Identity Safe account as on your old computer. Have a good day. cordially Guillaume1024

Hi BeeJay1334,

Please see the following link:

https://my.norton.com/onboard/home/EmailInvites#/emailInvite?_k=acq85k

You can enter an email address that can be reached by your Ideapad and then you'll follow the instructions and install Norton on your new system.

BTW, if your new system came with a trial of antivirus - it must be removed (using the product's removal tool) prior to installing Norton.

Re: Install Norton Identity Safe

With a fresh install of your OS and Norton products, you need to load the ID Safe extensions into each browser.

In each browser, go to the settings to manage add ons/extensions, then look for the ID Safe extension. You have to do this for all browsers except IE, that is still managed by your Norton Security product.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Identity Safe data.

Hello Guillaume1024

It sounds like the O/P does not like Windows 10 and would prefer  Windows 8.1. That is what he meant Guillaume/
