Installing Family on a child's laptop

My child got a new laptop. I'm the admin on the laptop, and the child is a standard user. So we can both independently sign on to the laptop. When I install Family, should I be signed in as the admin or as the child?

Re: Installing Family on a child's laptop

Sign in as the admin, when you get to the screen about which account your child uses, select your child account name. This will associate this machine and this account with your child.

Thanks, but I ended up calling Norton support and Fazal Shaikh answered by saying, "You need to download the Family app in the child user." Which seems to be the opposite of what you said.

It’s really about making sure you assign the child to the right account. Which account you download and install should not matter.
