installing Norton 360 De Luxe on a second PC

Now resolved. Sorry to trouble you.

I successfully update one of 2 PCs with Norton 360 de luxe 5 devices. I now want to install on a second device. So on my first device I click on 'install on another device' and it takes me to a screen giving me a choice of sending an email, a text, or a third option - but all seen to involve reading a QR code and downloading an app. I can't do that. Can I not simply log on to my norton on the second machine, access the new subscription entry (which is there) and click on download? Would it recognise I was installing on a second device?

Share the download link to install Norton

You can send an email message with the download link to install the Norton product on your additional devices. You can also send the download link through text message, or copy the download link to share it later.

The download link is valid only for 14 days. So, you must download the product within 14 days from the date you received the email or text message. If the download link expires, you have to resend it.

SHARE THE DOWNLOAD LINK

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. In the My Norton page, click Download.

  3. In the page that appears, click Send a Download Link.

  4. In the Protect another device page, do one of the following:

    • Email: Type the email address in the text box.

    • Text: Select a country and type the mobile number to send the download link as a text message.

    • Copy Link: Copy the download link to share later.

  5. Click the send or copy button.

INSTALL NORTON ON THE DEVICE

  1. Open the email or text message from the device on which you want to install Norton.

If you do not find the email in your Inbox, check your spam folder. The emails sent by Norton are legitimate and are not spams. For more information, read How do I know if the email I received from Norton is legitimate?

  2. Click/tap the download link.

  3. In the page that appears, click/tap Agree & Download.

  4. Open the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
