Intrusion Autoblock will not enable

Intrusion Autoblock will not enable. If I enable it and click "OK" or enable and click "Apply" then "OK" the setting will be "Off" again when I check to see.

Already tried: Reinstall, Norton Removal & Reinstall (multiple times), LiveUpdate, etc. Also uninstalled some of the third party security programs I am using.

Note: This appears unrelated to my other thread regarding the Boot Time Protection and Auto Protect being greyed out as a third party program was contributing to that issue.

Re: Intrusion Autoblock will not enable

From your other thread, you noted you uninstalled one of the security programs in your signature. Can you share which one was the culprit?

You seem to have a lot of security based apps running. How many are running real time? That could be causing interference with the correct operation of your Norton product. It is generally suggested to only have one real time security product running at a time to avoid possible conflicts.

Re: Intrusion Autoblock will not enable

OSArmor 1.5.5. was the culprit for the other issue. Never had an issue before, if I did I would customize or remove things to discover the conflict. Never had anything prevent Norton from running correctly before.

Real time scanners I only have Norton. Other scanners are set to scheduled scans; with exception of Acronis' ransomware and cryptomining protection. Besides removing OSArmor, at this point I have removed MBAM, Disabled Windows Defender periodic scanning, removed NordVPN. Also, I've had HostMan disabled for a while.

Re: Intrusion Autoblock will not enable

I check two other systems to see how they react, here are the results for all 3 systems I've tested:

Main desktop: Windows 10 Pro 20H2
Norton Intrusion Protection: Off, cannot enable

Alternate desktop: Windows 10 Home 20H2

Norton Intrusion Protection: On, cannot disable

Alternate Laptop: Windows 7 Home
Norton Intrusion Protection: Can be turned on or off, no apparent problem.

All 3 systems are running Norton 360 22.20.5.39

Yes, I run Norton 360 22.20.5.39 on main and spare 20H2 machines.
Norton Intrusion AutoBlock On = cannot turn Off
Norton Intrusion Signatures Active = cannot Deactivate

Re: Intrusion Autoblock will not enable

I had the same problem some weeks ago. Only Norton reinstall helped me.
