intrusive popup

Several times daily this popup interrupts my work: "Norton Security Toolbar support has been removed". How do I disable it?  I'm not interested in the Chrome extension vs. Norton toolbar debate.  I've made my choice.  I just want Norton's advertisement to go away.

Since, the Norton Security Toolbar will not be supported.

Re: intrusive popup

Do you use an Ad Blocker like UBlock Origin ? That will stop most pop ups.

Re: intrusive popup

Yes I have been getting this many times every day for well over a week too. My ads are blocked, but they sill come; and to add insult to injury I have actually added this Norton extension to my browser and the ads still come. It interrupts my work and gives no option to stop it permanently. Norton, usually I appreciate your interventions, but this is extremely irritating and feels dishonest as you cannot respect our choice. I have used Norton since the early 2000s but you are wearing down the customer experience. It feels like harassment.

Um, what extension have you added to what browser and what "ads" still come?

Re: intrusive popup

This popup is simply Norton malware. I get this whenever I am surfing the internet. I receive this popup about every 5 minutes. I uninstalled Norton Security and reinstalled Norton Security. The Norton malware persists. I bought Norton to prevent malware, not to pay for a program that pops it up. And, I have to close it to be able to proceed. Norton is well on its way to permanently driving away this 10+ years customer.

Re: intrusive popup

Google Chrome and I stopped this intrusive popup.

Try with  the Chrome Setting on your own risk. Your passwords will be removed.

→ Advanced settings
 → Reset and Clean up
  → Reset
  → Clean up your PC
   → Restart your PC

In Japan Norton user-support is helpless for me. Their responses are malfunctions.

Reinstalling your Norton product is not going to have any effect on the browser extensions. They are now installed separately in each browser.

If you click on the Stay Protected button, you are directed to a page with all the current Norton extensions listed. You can choose any you want or just close that page. Some have found that will stop the pop up.

Also check to see if you have a Norton Toolbar extension showing in Chrome extensions. If you do, uninstall it. That may be what is creating this pop up.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: intrusive popup

I was having the same pop-up each time I opened chrome. Peterweb's suggestion to check if Norton Toolbar extension are showing installed was accurate and once I removed them the pop up disappeared. Thanks for offering your input.
