Invalid product

My laptop has repeatedly crashed over the past year, requiring a reinstall of everything on numerous occasions. When I attempted to re-install Norton 360, my product key is declined and it says that I've installed the software on too many machines. This is the only machine I've ever installed the product on. How can this problem be fixed?!
