IPv6 settings with a IPv4 ISP

My ISP is still using IPv4, so for my situation should I set the smart firewall setting  "Automatic Learn IPv6 NAT Traversal Traffic" to OFF? Thanks

IE v11, Chrome v 36.Symantec End Point Protection, Norton ID Safe. Windows 7 64x, ISP:CableOne.

Re: IPv6 settings with a IPv4 ISP

Hi Rousseau32, I would suggest leaving it on , as that is the default position. If you click onto the ? tab on the right alongside the setting, there is a lengthy explanation as to what setting to use, and why.

Hope that helps. Ftr, my ISP is Ipv4 only, and I leave this setting set to ON...

Re: IPv6 settings with a IPv4 ISP

IPv6 may not be prevalent yet, but the time will come when it will be required. If you leave the setting at its default, you will not have to worry when the time comes.

I cannot see any performance hit you are taking with the setting on.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
