Issue with Minecraft mods

Hi there,

I tried to run some MODS for minecraft on my son PC but it did not work.

I could check that some files are missing, so I assume it was blocked by Norton Family.

I manage to install the files by suspend the monitoring on that PC (since I could not uninstall it - another post on it already made)

Any suggestions on how to get it fixed?

thanks!

Luis

Re: Issue with Minecraft mods

Hi luismoed,

Please let me know the Norton Family version you have on the PC.  To find the information,  please click the Norton Family icon in the system tray and select “About Norton Family”.

Also, what you see when "run some MODS for minecraft on my son PC but it did not work".

Please check the signer for the program by following these steps

  1. Navigate to this path “C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin\”.(or appropriate folder)
  2. Locate java.exe and javaw.exe.
  3. Right click the java.exe and choose Properties.
  4. In the properties window, choose Digital Signatures tab.
  5. Click on Details button.
  6. Check whether the signer name  is “Oracle America, Inc.”

Thanks

Katie
