Keep being told my cover has expired when it hasn't

I keep getting a pop-up message that my Norton cover has expired when it has over 6 months to run. I was advised to run live update, but that failed because my subscription had expired. Why does this keep happening?

Does your subscription show the correct information in your Norton Account?   https://my.norton.com  Click on the user icon at the top right and click on My Subscriptions. 

In your Norton product, click on Help > Subscription Status. That will sync your product with the Norton subscription servers.

Check that your system's date, time and time zone are correct.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
