Latest scam using Norton name and Logo

On different web sites a popup comes up: "Your Norton expired 3 days ago! Renew now for 2020" with 2 radio buttons linked to the same website:   https ://Trahes . site/ip1C3nqg8VCvZ/12337?param: 16297

A redirect was attempted as well to allashark.site

Thank God for Traffic Rules! I blocked (*.site) and now I just get a "can't connect to server" page whenever .site pages try to load.

If I am in the wrong place I am sorry. I searched the Norton and Symantec websites for a scam reporting form or link..and all I found was links to old articles and promotional advertising. Something needs to be added (with fast easy access) on both websites where possible threats can be reported expeditiously. ( If there is something already, it is deeply hidden which makes it unavailable and therefore unusable.)

I hope somebody who cares will try to find these bums...and move my info to the proper place. Thank you for your time.

Re: Latest scam using Norton name and Logo

This kind of pop up can be caused by malformed ads on the site you are visiting. Even reputable sites may use an ad service that can get infected.

Try installing an ad blocker extension in your browser.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
