Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

Just added Lifelock. When loging into My Norton and going to My Subscriptions, there is a link to go to the Lifelock Portal. Clicking this link gives and error "Sorry, we're not able to find the request page", and gives button link that says "Return to Dashboard". Tried a number of times. This needs fixing.

Re: Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

Same issue.  Just spent the last hour on phone/chat with both companies being told to contact the other (or just transferred).  They both agree I have the account but neither seems able to help me access it.  I have tried using Explorer and Chrome with the same result.  Hopefully my personal information is as inaccessible as my Lifelock account.

Re: Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

Exact same issues.  Also did phone/chat with both companies each with no real solution except to say try a different browser. I use Firefox for everything (including logging into Norton with no issues) But logging into Lifelock via Norton OR direct at Lifelock site fails everytime. As far as browsers go I hate MS's IExplorer by whatever name even in it's current version it's a slug and very incoherent to anything except MS sales ads. Chrome is better but not as good as Firefox.  Just doesn't look good for Lifelock or Norton since they now have their names tied to each other. I may be cancelling my Lifelock membership soon if this is not cleaned up. Just plain sloppy.

Re: Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

UPDATE: 7-6-2018, 11:50 AM, I chatted with Norton support again this morning and went over these issues again. He said he would make sure management knew about these issues.

Now a little over an hour later I tried logging in with scenarios listed below (with both Firefox and Chrome) and I got in both times. Appears they have fixed the glitches, and I am very glad.

Scenario (1) I tried logging into Norton and then clicking the link to Lifelock and it worked with both above said browsers.

Scenario (2) Then I tried logging into Lifelock directly at their site and it worked also (both browsers) if using the yellow Norton sign in button below the main Lifelock.

Neither of these scenarios (1) and (2) would work to get in to Lifelock yesterday or early this morning. But now they do. Thanks Norton Techs.

The main Lifelock login (without using the yellow Norton at bottom) still will not accept my Norton login data, but that's not that big of an issue as long as the Norton alternate button is there.

I hope everyone is having this same experience (?) if not please update yours.

Re: Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

One note though I did some checking it appears that with Firefox you cannot have the tracking protection ON, (not even For Only in private windows). If you have this on it baulks at going to Lifelock. Norton signs in ok with tracking protection ON but the links to Lifelock OR going to Lifelock directly will not work with Firefox's tracking protection.

Apparently the Lifelock site or links to it thereof require tracking enabled. That kinda sucks, seems it's the new world thing nowdays, track and share everything with advertisers.

Chrome only sends a do not track request, it's not (apparently) as aggressive as Firefox's Tracking Protection because it still works with this enabled.

Re: Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

Just tried it again without success with IE and Chrome. If you could be more specific about where the link is you are trying, that might be helpful. Here's my path: login to my.norton.com, upper right is "My Norton", within this pull down I go to "My Subscriptions". On this page is the attached image lifelocklink.pdf which has button link that says "Member Portal". This Member Portal link still fails and gives the same message as in "error.pdf" in the original post.

Re: Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

It would seem that the reason that neither Norton, nor LifeLock support are able to help with this is that it is a problem with the web site. That would be a different department.

I'll try to escalate this to someone who can check this.

Re: Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

For direct to Lifelock I'm using
https://memberportal.lifelock.com/
and then clicking the yellow log in via Norton button

For Norton (and then to Lifelock) I just go to the below link and click sign in, then click the Lifelock Member Portal and it takes me to first site (above).
https://my.norton.com/
and then clicking the yellow log in via Norton button

I can't comment on IE since I hate it and never use it. But Chrome and Firefox both log in ok IF Tracking protection set to OFF.
Chrome is a little less aggressive in that it only requests the site does not track but Firefox can actually prevent tracking. I also have accept cookies and site data enabled but that was never changed either time.

With me it's like night and day, if I set the tracking protection ON then with Firefox I cannot get into Lifelock.

If I immediately then set it to OFF I can log into Lifelock immediately with no problem.

I can log into Norton and just about everywhere else on the net with Firefox no matter how the settings are, but not Lifelock. Hope this helps, otherwise it's something else going on besides the above delineations. But I'm getting in now with tracking protection off.

I did ask (via phone) a Lifelock support person why tracking was so important to them and they said they'd relay the subject to their supervisors. I told her about this discussion on this forum if they were not aware of it and she took note.

Re: Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

Only guessing here. Tracking may be important as a way to help track that it is you accessing the portal. Not someone half way around the world trying to hack into your account.

Re: Lifelock Member Portal not working through My Norton

Lifelock subscribers following this thread might want to read the KrebsOnSecurity article LifeLock Bug Exposed Millions of Customer Email Addresses that was posted today (25-Jul-2018). According to that article the LifeLock site was recently taken offline and "The company just fixed a vulnerability on its site that allowed anyone with a Web browser to index email addresses associated with millions of customer accounts, or to unsubscribe users from all communications from the company."

I have no idea if the portal login and browser tracking protection problems being discussed in this thread are related to the recent security upgrades made to the LifeLock site but there might be a connection.

Kudos to bjm_ for posting a link to that KrebsOnSecurity article <here> in the Norton Tech Outpost.
