Is Lifelock worth the extra "peace of mind"?

I am new to the Community site (i.e., about 5 minutes new!). I hope that I am proceeding correctly.

If I may:  My wife and I have a Q about the Norton Identity Protection features, vs. the features offered by Lifelock. Basically:  Is Lifelock worth having--is the cost of subscribing to Lifelock worth the extra "peace of mind"?

Thank you for any feedback.

The Norton Protection features are designed to help protect your electronic devices while online. The Lifelock service monitors credit agencies to see if a new loan or credit card are being opened in your name. They are two completely different  offerings.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

* Thank you so much, peterweb. It sounds like we are looking at apples and oranges...that it would NOT be redundant to use Lifelock and Norton. Very much appreciate your conciseness (is there such a word?!?).
