limiting total hours rather than hours per day

Hi there! I'm not sure Norton Family is quite the software for us, but perhaps we're missing something. Our goal is to limit the number of hours our son spends on the computer weekly. The amount he is on daily is not the issue. We don't let him on the computer until after homework is done, and at that point he can play until the software shuts him out at 10 p.m. bedtime...but we only allow 15 hours/week during the school year.

What's the best way to achieve that goal? Right now he gets locked out after 2 hours daily, which makes him frustrated, and he can go beyond his agreed-upon weekly hours (he's at 21.5 this week) which makes us frustrated.

Re: limiting total hours rather than hours per day

Hi EvaG,

If have the Weekdays and Weekends daily allowed time set to 2 hours, that would be 14 hours a week.  Could you tell us where you see he has spent 21.5 hours on the PC?

I'll forward your request limiting total hours weekly rather than hours per day to the team for their consideration.

Thanks,

Thanks Katie
