On Line Backup Failed with open file message and with W32 code
I purchased and installed Norton On Line Backup a couple of days ago. Information on the HELP screen (in the "New Features Table" under the heading "What is New in Norton Online Backup") specifies that the program "lets you back up files that are currently opened in other applications"; however, the first two automatic backups ended with error message saying a particular file could not be backed up because it was open. I closed the application that uses the problem file and executed a manual backup. It ended with error message 'Backup Failed W32'. Then, without further action on my part, the next automatic backup also ended with error message 'Backup Failed W32'. Of four backups since installation, none have been successful. Error message W32 is not listed in the list of error messages in the help files, but I read somewhere on the Forum that it has to do with open files. Even so, the program description claims that it will back up open files. What is the truth and how do I accomplish a complete backup? Thanks.
