LINKSYS Spying on my PC

3/15/2019 2:20:32 PM, Info, Download Insight detected launch of ea2700.2.0.14294.0-Setup (1).exe, Threat Actions Preformed: 0

From there afterwards, I had phone calls about "Are you having problems with your router?" I believed someone attached something to spy on my PC. Don't lecture me. I made a mistake. I just want this code removed.

Re: LINKSYS Spying on my PC

Hello. Download insight is an alert from your Norton product which alerts you that the files you downloaded have been scanned for threats. As it ALLOWED the download of ea2700.2.0.14294.0-Setup (1).exe and began its installation, I would download and run a FULL system scan with Malwarebytes. You may have contracted a drive-by PUP program.

The next suggestion is to log into your router, change the access username and password, reboot the router. When you have done so log back into the router and have it look for the latest firmware and install it. It MAY already be on the latest version however I would check all the same. Please let us know what your results are.

Cheers
