live update beyond slow

I'm running live update and it's updating a product and the number of MB is barely moving one digit every two seconds

is there something wrong with your updaters. Everything on my end is the same. Just curious. It's for 184 MB and it's been over ten minutes already.

It's always slow but this is a new low.

it finished. i think a windows update may have been downloading at the same time. I saw the update was there afterwards. Could that have caused the problem I encountered?

Nothing, just required high speed internet connectivity that's it. Your PC is all set.

 If you don't mind my asking, I have a very old router,  on FIOS with wireless connection.

Could the router also be a factor? People tell me my  laptop is slow to update, download, etc.

Yes, this could be, also if you are not downloading much then you can stay on the same Router.
