How can I recover my lost pw for my local ID safe. This is not a major problem since I use the cloud, but how can I recover this pw just in case I need to use it. Auto backup of the ID safe is enabled

The bottom line is that Norton does not store your Vault password, nor is it stored on your system. If your Password Hint does not help you, your only option is to reset your vault.
The Norton Account referred to above does not exist for a Local Vault, although you do have a Norton Account for your Cloud Vault.
The Local Vault and the Cloud Vault are not connected in anyway - there is no sync between the two, they are totally separate entities. Thus your automatic backup from the Cloud Vault may not contain exactly the same data your Local vault does. A Local Vault needs to be backed up manually.
