Location update frequency

The device location for my son's phone seems to update about every 30 minutes. I know I can force a current location update but is there any way to change the frequency of the automatic updates? Say for example to every 15 minutes.

Re: Location update frequency

Hi JeffreyS72,

I will double check with the team on this, but I don't think we currently have a feature for the user to change the frequency of the updates.

Thanks

Re: Location update frequency

JeffreyS72,

I checked with the team on this and confirmed the frequency currently is fixed for all clients, no permission for users to change it.

One thing we would like for you to know is if the frequency is higher as you request, then the battery is also going to drain much faster.

Thanks,

Katie

Re: Location update frequency

Ok thanks, I understand about the battery concern. Perhaps they could consider adding that ability for future enhancements. One other question. On the child profile page, what is the purpose of the administrator check box along side of each protected device? When would we want to check this?

Re: Location update frequency

Hi JeffreyS72,

Sure.  I'll add the feature to the enhancement list for management team.

The program shows all the available Windows accounts and Android accounts on the page .  In your case, we are only talking about Windows account now.  That includes all your children's Windows accounts and Administrator account.  If you only monitor your children's accounts, then you don't need Administrator account.  For whatever reason, others might want to monitor the Administrator account, they can associate a child profile online with the Administrator account.

For detail on associating Windows account, please check out the link below.
