Main UI should show status of running scans

Competitive AV software (i.e. MalwareBytes) has a well designed UI, so if it is in the middle of a scheduled scan, I can open up the main UI, and see straight away if it is doing a scheduled scan. The current Norton Security I run on my systems is version 22.20.2.57, and even with this very mature product, there is STILL not a good way to see the status of RUNNING scheduled scans. Sure, I can start Task manager, and SURMISE that it might be running,by looking at CPU percentage, but NOT when it started. The little "starting full system scan" only comes up for about 20 seconds or so and is USELESS on a PC that you don't sit in front of all day!!   I have used Norton AV products for over 25 years in my professional IT career, and although they were good, solid products, Idon't think that the UI has ever been properly designed with the user in mind, as regards scheduled full OR quick scans. If a system has a couple of large external HDD, this could take many hours, and I would like to be informed on the UI (OR better still in the System Tray Icon) IF a scan is running, so I can decide to keep the PC on overnight and let it complete.

Re: Main UI should show status of running scans

The product has had several updates since I posted the above. I am now at version 22.21.5.44 and see NO action or improvement in this area at all. I have noticed the welcomed improvement to the Live Update UI, but I beleive this product can be improved more.

agreed, I think the UI needs to be redesigned, most av show running scans in their dashbord
