Hi I was the author of the thread in which that response came from. It was never really clear as to the reason.
In your case do you see these before and after a quick or full scan?
yes I see these rundll32.exe preparing to access the internet, but its only After I do a norton scan! There are usually a good 10 or so of those rundll32.exe but there alll ahappening at the same second! Its wierd? Im pretty sure theres nothing wrong with neither of our systems but it would be nice to know whats going on here. Do you have Norton antivirus or Norton internet security? I have Norton internet security 2009.
I have NAV2008 and its up to date, I have Vista Home Premium with Vista service pack 1. I notice this.
4 instances when I start a scan, be it quick scan or full scan. Then after the scan I will have 2 instances for every tracking cookie found. So sometimes ther can be 20 or so. It seemed at first when I noticed this it was two at the start of a scan, then now its 4. Not sure what its all about, but my guess is no problem
