Miner continually stuck in restarting state

Hey, all you wonderful supporters out there, I'm having trouble getting my miner to actually run.
After having some other system stability issues, on the advice of Norton support, I proceeded to upgrade my video card drivers and, for a while, Norton Crypto was running well.
Then, I noticed some unusual behavior coming from my Colossus HD capture card, it appeared to be running too warm and was throwing constant USB disconnect/reconnect events. This card had to be installed beside my graphic card in my rig, not ideal, but it's all we could do. The miner appeared to be unable to be told to use less than 100% of available GPU, so I underclocked the GPU from 1900MHz to 1400MHz to reduce ambient heat. The Colossus appeared to operate better after that.
After the underclock, the miner initially ran for a few days, but now it is constantly stuck in "restarting" state after a brief transition from "Waiting for idle" state.
Support has done five install/reinstall cycles in the past month, to no avail.
Any ideas on how I can get my miner running again ? Any debugging / characterization hints ?
Thanks !
