MINIMIZE PROETECTION continued... KILLING NORTON

As a follow-up to my last QUESTION how to stop NORTON performance intensive processes from slowing down my system.

HOW DO I KILL NORTON while it is running.  TaskMgr can not.

Thanks

Starting a new thread won't help.  I have given you some suggestions in your other thread.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Yes.  My apology  for the duplicate thread.  I didn't know how to continue and be more descriptive.

Yes, I did respond to original already.

I just need power user advice on how to EXEMPT APPLICATIONS, turn ON/OFF quickly (without popups and checkboxes), or KILL Norton.  I know you have a great product.  I just need to adapt it for my use.

(During this session, I know I am connected to the internet but Norton was pegging my hard drive at 100%, 3MB/sec.  This conversation FROZE, and had to come back in from a different internet session).  Just odd...

Thank you very much.

Re: MINIMIZE PROETECTION continued... KILLING NORTON

Hello

You can not kill Norton. If you could, then so could malware. You can disable some parts for short periods of time. The only way you can kill Norton is by uninstalling the products. You can disable automatic Live updates, but you need to run it manually at least once a day unless the computer is turned off for the days.

Have a Good Night and Thanks.
