Mining

I've got a NVidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GPU which Norton is telling me is not a viable GPU that can support crypto mining.

I know NVidia has put a hash rate limiter on 3060s for ETH mining, but I don't understand why that would prevent me from mining all together.

Is there anything I can do?

Re: Mining

There are some GPU cards that are not viable for mining. While they are designed to be good at gaming, they are expressly set to be LHR (Lite Hash Rate) and unsuitable for crypto mining.

If you want to look up your exact card, first find the vendor ID and device ID, first find the device ID with one of these links:

NVidia(link is external)(link is external)

AMD(link is external)(link is external)

then use https://www.pcilookup.com/(link is external)(link is external) to see the full description, if you see LHR, then it is not suitable for mining

Your only solution is to get a different GPU card.
