mobile unlock issue

I have had a Norton password vault for several years, and until recently the mobile unlock function worked properly: i.e. it sent an unlock message to my phone with the choice to cancel or approve the unlock. Recently, the unlock message changed, and the choices were now cancel or sign in. Because my password is long and not possible to remember, signing in to open the vault is not feasible and the password manager is essentially broken. I've looked at the mobile unlock settings and didn't see a way to change this.  Is there a way to restore the original unlock message?

Re: mobile unlock issue

Thank you, peterweb. Solved with your help.  I did acquire a new phone about 5 months ago and it was correctly set up to receive the cancel/approve mobile unlock message. It worked correctly until the messages changed to cancel/unlock a few weeks ago.  The vault settings were correctly sending unlock messages to the new phone, just the wrong message. After much trial and error including uninstalling and reinstalling NPM and re-configuring the phone attachment, the correct unlock messages were being sent.

Re: mobile unlock issue

Where are you seeing the cancel or sign in message? On the phone or the computer?

Have you changed your phone recently? If so, you have to set up Mobile Unlock again, even though you have not changed the phone number. It is not the phone number that is used to identify the phone for the Mobile Unlock feature.
