Money duducted but account not renewed

According to the Main internet security window I still have 29 days remaining (i.e. until the end of November)

But for the last month I've been receiving constant emails telling me that my subscriptions was about to expire (on October 30) and that I need to update my payment details. Then after October 30th I received notification that my subscription had expired.

BUT according to the main window/dashboard I still 29 days left.

BUT when I open my account details under the Subscriptions tab it tells me that my account has expired.

Seriously, WTF?

So I went to the Billing Information tab and removed the old expired card and tried repeatedly to add a new card but it failed again and again and again and again and again and ..... (you get the idea).

Back on the Subscriptions tab I went ahead and hit the 'Renew now' , selected for 2 years renewal and  hit the Buy now button and added the billing information directly into that window opened. I couldn't tell if the transaction worked or failed.

Back under billing information there is still no card listed.

The main Norton window still tells me I have only 29 days remaining.

The subscriptions window still says my account has expired.

I checked the card balance and the payment has been deducted.

So What the hell is going on? My money is gone but my account status hasn't changed.

This runaround is not confidence inspiring.

I have seen a similar message with the last few patches. Try running LiveUpdate manually a few times, restarting as necessary, until no updates are available. Then restart the computer once more. That fixed the subscription display problem for me.

If that does not resolve it, try opening your Norton product and click on Help - Subscription Status to have your computer sync with the Norton servers.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I emailed support as well as posting here. I don't know if they did anything but I suppose they must have because by the middle of the following day it was fixed. Several automatic updates had run by then so maybe that also had some affect.

Subscription status I had already tried.
