Moving Files to a Different Drive

What will happen with Norton online backup if I move my files to a different drive? What steps do I have to take?

Re: Moving Files to a Different Drive

When you start the restore function of the backup, you are offered to restore to the same location, or to a different location.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

I want to move my files from drive C on my computer to drive D on my computer. Right now online backup backs up the files from drive C. I will want to delete my current backup and backup drive D instead of drive C.

I think I understand now.

Are the files you are going to move identical to the backup set you currently have? If so, you should be able to just go into the current backup set and change the location of your source files.

If there are substantial changes in the files being backed up, after you move your files to the D drive, just set up another backup set in Norton to back up those files.  Just be aware that you will be essentially doubling the amount of online storage you use. If you do not have enough storage space left to do this, you will have to delete some or all of the current backed up files from your storage.
