N360 VPN Connection

I note that when connecting to N360 VPN, the Wi-Fi icon does not change to indicate a VPN connection that is typical of virtually every other VPN I have utilized. Is this typical given the configuration below or might there an issue?

[Device: HP Envy. OS: Win 11 Pro latest version. N360: latest version. Wi-FI adapter: Intel Wi-FI 6 AX201 latest driver]

Thanks in advance.

Re: N360 VPN Connection

On Windows there is no indication that the VPN is on or off. You have to open Norton 360 and it shows it there with the region.

On Android there is an indication that the VPN is on.

Re: N360 VPN Connection

Is your comment specific to W11? Otherwise I am looking at a W10 device where the Wi-Fi indicator has changed from the default to a blank square where a mouse-over shows the VPN first followed by the "normal" SSID second. The W11 device only ever shows the default icon and "normal" SSID.

Thanks, xjoex. Has been an annoyance/curiosity since day one. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming
