ncpDynam.dat High Disk Usage

Recently my laptop response became very sluggish.   It appears related to Norton continuously reading and writing to ncpDynam.dat and ncpDynam.dat.log.

I've read two other threads about this known ncpDynam issue.  What has worked for others has not helped my situation, although I haven't yet invoked the nuclear option: uninstall/reinstall.  That shouldn't be "the fix".

Updated Norton 360 patches; currently at 22.22.4.11.  Running Windows 10, version 10.0.19043

Hoping for some guidance here.  Thanks.

Thanks for the prompt reply.  Followed instructions, I think.  Step-by-step instructions didn't exacly match the dialog boxes I encountered but I think I got it done.  Please advise.
