Need help blocking pornographic web sites using Norton Family Controls

My son used his phone for 3.5 hours today, when I had 'school time' in effect.  School time is supposed to limit him to educational sites, but I see that apps are not covered, and he used many non-educational apps such as snapchat and roblox.  

But my real concern is what is in the attached screen shot.  Elias was blocked from accessing a reddit discussion board, but searched 26 times for sites which I saw had disturbing pornographic content, how can this be blocked --

for example, he searched, e.g., hot nude anime boys and.

Hello,

Your child was still on google.com which is an allowed site hence it did not get blocked. When he taps on a search result and tries to access it, he will get into a site belonging to a blocked category, which is when the NF Android client would block it. From the shared screenshot, he has done a search on google but has not accessed the blocked sites in the search result.

In the case of reddit.com, the URL would have been directly typed and accessed using the browser, hence causing it to be blocked.

Norton Family Android client will block the sites when the child visits them from the search results similar to how reddit.com was blocked.

But I can not be sure the sites were blocked.   Why did the report tell me that reddit was blocked, but list the google searches as ones that my son visited?  My theory is that because 'porn' was not in the search term, the site was not blocked.

Hmmm. I think I see how pornographic cartoon images popped up and were visible -- you start your search from google images.  If you then put in search terms, like nude boy anime, you'll see the pornographic images. You can't go to the site, but there's plenty to look at.  And you can put in varied search terms (like my son did 26 times) to see a variety of images.
