NF Online not working

I have installed Norton Family online on my son's laptop. It worked for a couple of days until I got a message that a certain file has been uninstalled and after that message, I could not see any activity nor does the time restriction work any more. Please help. What has been uninstalled.

Hi Jileen,

Can you please reinstall Norton Family on the PC to see if it helps to resolve the issues?  To avoid and limit the possibility to tamper/disable the system, please give non-administrative rights (limited or restricted) to your child’s  user account and keep the password for your Norton Online Family account away from the child.  Otherwise,  the child would have the ability to tamper the program.

Hi Katie, I remembered now. It was a plug-in that was disabled and not a file. i also did not give any administrative rights or password to my son. I dou t he knows the password.  Does it still mean the same? Anyhow I wl try to delete the file and reinstall it. But please advise if I need to do anything else now that it is a plug in that has been diabled. Thanks.

Hi Jileen,

If it's the Norton Family add-on is disabled,  you don't need to reinstall Norton Family.  When you see the message “The Norton Family browser plug-in…”, please check the browser that your child uses to see if the add-on for Norton Family is enabled.  You can find it by clicking Tools -> Manage Add-ons in IE if IE is being used.
