NG = No Good!

Upon installation of Norton Family version 2.9.5.14 although it seems as though “hanging” Internet upon “waking” the computer has alleviated, uploading an attachment in the new G-Mail compose window still fails and IE 10 crashes!  I need to have attachment functionality.  Unfortunately, had to un-install NOF yet again to alleviate this.

Undesirable operation with respect to this application has continued for months now, and we are paying for service that is un-workable.  Starting to question whether I should terminate NOF subscription and request a refund for months of problematic usage….  I hate to do this because I really do appreciate Norton/Symantec….  I know the alternative will most likely be to set up a “remote session”, however, it will be tough to do with my current work schedule.

Addendum:- When the computer was “awoken” out of “sleep mode”, it took some time before NOF icon loaded in SysTray informing me that it was “actively” monitoring the computer.  Please keep in mind, I have that area set to show notifications AND icons.  Could this delay be the reason why the Internet no longer hangs?  However, with that delay, could that leave an opening for unscrupulous Internet behaviour?  The plot thickens….

Re: NG = No Good!

Hi Hammer_Bro,

I understand you have Norton Family 2.9.5.14 installed on the PC.   Could you check to see if you have any prior version(s) of Norton Family still saved on the PC?

When you are available, please let me know, so we can schedule a time that would be the most convenience for you to have a remote session.

Please also let us know what all security product(s) and version(s) you have on the PC.

Thanks,

Katie

Thanks Katie
