NIS 2012 - Alert on Poor Stability - DL Intelligence

Hello:

Where does NIS get it's data to quantify Poor Stability?

I downloaded a small program that was shown to have "Poor Stability," yet it worked just fine.

I see that this is a new and welcome feature in 2012, I just don't know where this alert actually comes from.

Many thanks,

Atomic_Blast :)

It gets the data from the Norton users via Norton Community Watch. When a program causes troubles or have many crashes, Norton will detect it, and send the data to the cloud. If this error could be reproduced on many machines (I think it is more than 10000 or so) Norton will give the program a Poor Stability tag. But it doesn't mean all the time that on a different machine it will do the same....

Hi PapauZ:

I was thinking along those lines.

So I will just exercise an extra bit of caution and will have to use the program.

Unfortunately, there is no link when I see the Alert, to advise me under what

conditions the program would crash, or perform abnormally.

Many thanks,
